AND I LOVE YOU (Sunday Snippet) Love in the Vineyards Book #3

Kate Kisset, And I Love you, Love in the Vineyards

AND I LOVE YOU is book three in my Love in the Vineyards series.

What's the series about?

Funny you should ask :)

❤️About Love in the Vineyards: It’s a small-town romance series centering around six very hot Italian brothers from a Napa Valley wine dynasty and three women who are roommates at nearby villa in Sonoma Valley.

(FYI: You don’t have to know anything about wine. My characters just drink it.)

The Santino brothers are strong, swoon-worthy, protective, loyal men who’ll do anything for the women they adore…

Although each book is a standalone read, this is one, large saga where families and close friends are connected and reappear throughout the series. ~Happily-ever-afters guaranteed~

Book #3 is Juliet St. John & Gabe Durand's story.

(EXCERPT)

Turning to the customers, Gabe wielded the cocktail shaker, his muscles rippling under his T-shirt, and his biceps flexed as he meticulously poured the contents into two glasses without spilling a drop. When he turned back to her, she realized how hard she was smiling and took it down a notch.

With a self-assured stride, he approached her, trying to hide a smile or a full-out laugh. “What can I get you?”

“The usual?" She pointed to her mug, trying to ignore the shot of adrenaline coursing through her, making her heart beat faster.

“I’ll make a fresh pot. It’ll just take a few minutes.”

“I don’t have time to wait,” she said, wondering why she was whispering. “Do you have any ready now? I don’t care if it’s fresh.” K102 was so cheap, they kept the java in the break room cabinet under lock and key.

He paused for a beat and frowned, staring at the mug. “It’s a few hours old, left over from dinner, you sure you want that?”

“I’d love it.” I love that you care. “I’m starting my shift in a few minutes, and I’m running on empty.”

Gabe hesitated before picking it up. When he took off the lid and cocked a brow at the embedded coffee stains inside, Juliet cringed. She needed to remember to wash the dang thing instead of leaving it in her car night after night.

Flashing another smile from out of nowhere, Gabe leaned over the bar, closer to her. “No worries. You're in good hands. A little cream? One sugar?”

“If it wouldn’t be too much trouble.”

His eyes softened. “Trouble? You? Never, scaredy cat,” he teased, moving out from behind the bar. Gabe gave her the nickname the first time Juliet wouldn't tell him where she worked. She wasn’t trying to be mysterious. And it wasn’t personal. With her job, she had to be careful.

Watching Gabe leave a wake of chic, pretty women craning their necks and gawking at him on his way to the kitchen made Juliet feel extra self-conscious. With no place to hide in the small restaurant, she casually rested her elbow on the bar, pretending to belong. Not that she was fooling anyone.

No one else looked like they’d just rolled out of bed.

She almost jumped a foot when he came up behind her. What? No three-foot slab of wood between us? Whoa. Light-headed here…he even smells amazing.

“We have to stop meeting like this.” He grinned, passing her the mug.

A row of numbers on his taut, smooth forearm caught her eye.

“I washed it first.” He winked. “Sterilized it, actually.”

“Thanks.” She laughed sneaking another peek up at his eyes, taking another whiff, and trying not to drool, or stare, or look as flustered as she felt. “You didn’t have to do that.”

He didn’t say anything, which rattled her even more. Instead, he shifted his weight and grinned at her, looking like some form of man-dessert, or something too decadent for even just one taste.
